Wood plaques provide so many project possibilities. They can be used as a functional piece or as a painting. With the finished routed edge, they have the look of a framed piece of artwork. You can add a few hooks or nails across the bottom of a plaque and decorate it as a wall mounted jewelry hanger. Decoupage is also a nice way to decorate the wood for your projects too. If you want to make a vintage wood sign, a wood plaque is a perfect because it is already pre-cut with a finished edge. All it requires is light sanding before you paint your board. Plaques come in various shapes and sizes to fit any project you wish.
